Application Overview
FNTI was contracted to convert all of the Employee Trust Fund documentation for the State of Wisconsin. The conversion was undertaken on site in Madison, WI. The project was completed in 2 years.
Scope of Work
The project required the conversion of approximately 10,500,000 pieces of paper stored in 430,000 folders. The folders were in use throughout the project, file access was therefore a strict requirement. Pages were scanned at 200 dpi. Each page was indexed by one of 3000 document types plus other indexes such as SSN, Name, date, EmpGrp etc and marked with specific attributes; poor original, notarized seal. High levels of indexing, Quality Assurance by FNTI and the Client was required throughout the project. Interface with the Enterprise wide IBM LOB and Image System was implemented so the State was able to QC FNTI’s work. The satellite conversion required 2 shift production with a total of 45 people.
**The project scope was initially stated in the RFP at 9,000,000
pages to be indexed to a maximum of 600 document types.
Result
The project came in over budget as there were an additional 1,500,000
pages converted over and above the RFP’s estimate. The original
9,000,000 pages were converted on budget. The original price proposed
for the indexing of 600 document types was held for the term of
the contract even though the document types increased to 3000.
