Application Overview
MSRS had an urgent need to implement an electronic imaging system after it became clear that the existing updateable Microfilm system would no longer be supported. FNTI completed the conversion and quality assurance of approximately 4,000,000 frames of Microfiche. The fiche cards were the only copy of confidential member records and strict tracking was essential.

Scope of Work
What was unusual was the time required to scan the project as each fiche card contained only 6 images a card. This made scanning efficiencies much lower than usual.

Once the folders were converted to the new digital format they were then indexed by a filing number and matched against an existing database.

Result
FNTI completed the contract within the allotted timescale of 8 months and the project considered successfully delivered.
