Overview
The State of Hawaii desired to automate all records into a Retirement System application several years ago. The original
effort by a previous vendor failed and Vitech, Inc was then selected to implement a successful solution. Both Vitech and
the State of Hawaii chose FNTI to handle all of the conversion of physical records. FNTI had over 20 staff members onsite to
scan a total of nearly 8 million documents consisting of paper and microfilm. Once scanned, the indexing and document type
assignment was done in our California facility which consisted of keying the SSN and applying documents to 1 of 150 different
classifications. Numerous Quality Assurance procedures were taken to ensure image quality and indexing accuracy. Both Vitech
and the State Retirement System were very pleased with the results and delivery timetable.
