FNTI was selected to convert some 24 million birth, death and marriage license records found in bound books, loose paper and microfilm. These records date back to the 1800’s and a significant amount of file preparation was required. The project was staffed with 16 scanner/terminals and as many as 35 people located at 2 county facilities. Each record has its own indexing requirements, which was matched with an existing database where applicable.

The project was well ahead of schedule and all groups involved are very pleased with the conversion piece of the total project.
